MC21C - A Magna Carta for the 21st Century
In 1215 the Barons of England virtually forced King John to sign the Magna Carta in a meadow at Runnemede.
The Magna Carta has since become one of the key documents that place limits on the power of the state.
With the advent of multinational corporations much of the power once exercised exclusively by Kings and then nation states is now being exercised by large corporations.
What we need is a document that corporations sign in which they acknowledge limitations on their own powers, A Magna Carta for the 21st Century.
Once the document is ready for signature the corporations could be asked to sign it. Those that don't could be singled out, one at a time, and subjected to a consumer boycott until they do sign.
